Is it right that a man can hit a woman if she hits you ?

I know that its never right to hit a woman what ever she does but what is peoples views on this , As i know alot of woman hit guys these days.

What is wrong - absolutely wrong - is if a man hits a woman - for no particular reason - to intimidate her - control her. This is sadistic and she should leave him as soon as possible - as the violence will only get worse - because it is rooted in deep insecurities within himself.

What is not wrong - is if a man hits a women when she has become hysterical over something. He needs to bring her 'back down' as it were - and sometimes a slap - not a really hard slap - just enough to shock her back to reality is necessary.

A man should always be aware of his superior strength though, because if he looses his temper with his wife, girlfriend, friend whatever, he could seriously hurt her. There is all the difference in the world between hitting someone & hitting someone with venom. If you hit someone with venom you will hurt them, maybe even seriously damage them.

A man has to walk a fine line with a woman - between being too soft and too hard or to put it another way - being a bully or being respected.

Two expressions spring to mind - and they are not particularly pleasant - but there is an element of truth in them.

1. You should keep a woman well fcuked and poorly shod !
2. A bad a r s e makes a girls heart beat faster.

I will never forget an old drunk in a pub I had just popped into on my way home because I was thirsty - saying to me ''the only time you can really love a woman - is when she is asleep''!

Life is strange - but it is often about contradictions and ambiguities and there is no better example of this, than when you are dealing with the opposite sex and I suspect this is as true from a woman's perspective about men, but I can only give it to you from an man's point of view!!!!!!!!!!!

You know what? Good lady like women dont do that, but those frustrated cheap one's perhaps do but only they do that because they think they get away with it as gentlemen do not hit hit a woman. My personal feeling is that if you are walking down the street and one of these types of women come up and just slapped you, warn her first, but if she tried to do it again hit her so hard in self-defebce that she sees black and blue stars, and that she hopefully learn from this experience and never do it again to anyone. No man or woman should hit another human being for no good reason unless they are mentally sick and eye for an eye works a treat for this kind of sicknesses. Ask your doctor

Many people lose their tempers and lash out in the heat of the moment, and bitterly regret it when the end up in a cell for the night.
We tell our sons not to hit women because generally speaking, males are stronger than females - and usually a female will have been so emotionally hurt, the guy gets a slap in the face. If u deserve it suck it up.
However, some women are violent, and to avoid prosecution I would advise phoning the police. There is often a belief among these women that its ok for them to hit and that they wont be prosecuted because they are female. They provoke a man knowing that should he hit back, she can claim she was attacked and in todays climate she will be believed, WALK AWAY AND PHONE THE POLICE if you are attacked by your partner, no matter what sex u are.

Two wrongs don't make a right. It is wrong for a woman to hit a man, it is wrong for a man to hit back. I think a man should put up his arms defensively or restrain a woman only enough to stop her from hitting him, and then walk out. Don't risk her calling the police, even if she is the one who started it.

i dont believe a man should hit a woman but if a woman starts a fight with a man its OK for him to take her feet from under her and make her fall to the ground without hitting her i know lots of guys that would do that if a woman was attacking them

There is never a reason to hit anyone, especially a woman. You should not even want to associate with the type of person who would hit. It's not going to get better in time, it will only get worse. Do not sink to their level.

My Dad always told me that if I was stupid enough to hit a man (not a swat, I mean a real punch to the mouth - just an example here), then I'd best be prepared to get hit back. If a woman can dish it out, she should be able to handle it back.

The way i see it, if a woman is gonna fight like a man then she better be able to take the beatins back. So yes if a woman hits a man then he should beable to hit back. If shes gonna play like she has balls and throw the first slap then she better have balls when he slaps back.

If I hit a guy I would not expect him to just stand there. I think it would be an automatic reaction to hit back or at the very least try to restrain the person who is hitting you be it male or female.
