I like tho know your answer.
What I found out was that non-religious, atheists, agnostics people were more creative in constructing questions which were answered in a stereotype manner by spiritual and religious people. Some of non-belivers were indeed bashing or insulting, but what the heck, that is in the advantage of strong religious/spiritual, they know that manure makes them grow stronger. Less strong religiouis people answered with hell retaliation, copy-paste verses from their god books and other annoying practices, all lacking imagination and that is understandable, at least the bible say not to add anything to what's sooo boring in that book.
The strongest point in Yahoo Answers are NOT the answers, but the imagination to put qestions, and question the authority.
I wish luck to all who ask bold questions against fanaticism, hypocrisy, bigotism and other religious fruits.

I would have to say that Yahoo Answers (and the internet in general) seems to bring out a person's true colors regarding beliefs. I read questions more than answer them in the Religion/Spiritual section because for starters I am not an expert theologian on the subject and second the section is a cesspool of inane questions and answers that have no basis to further quality discussion. Most questions are rants meant to tear down a religion or viewpoint or get a rise out of somebody, pure and simple.
I have read pure crap from every color of the religious spectrum that posts here, but I realize that this doesn't necessarily apply to all out there in the real world. Some atheists think they have all the answers and are just as fanatical over their "religion" as any religious zealot out there. Some christians are straight up bigotted or unintelligible. Some muslims are closed-minded. Some non-standard religion folks seem to have this huge chip on their shoulders and feel they need to point out every little stupid fault in the more established religious followings. Some jewish folks are disgustingly racist or hypocritical. For some, their sole existence on Yahoo Answers is to tear other people down or judge them harshly. It's sad to see a category that could provide a lot of knowledge like many others categories on Y!A turn into something that is primarily stupid and pointless.
Stop with the stupid Q/A, people. Improve this cesspool. Yahoo Answers seems to reinforce my hypothesis that most beliefs are not evil; it's the people that follow them that can be.

Well, most certainly you have not said anything about religion. You only commented about the need to ask questions about religion. Here's what I find, many questions are under the "silly" category, they are meant to poke fun. Few are really the serious I-wanna-know-the-truth category. On the other hand, many answers are also just as silly because they are given just to mock and scoff at religions. I don't think this is the intended purpose of this Yahoo service. I would really love to read good questions and answers rather than have to sift through a lot of garbage just to find a few gems.

I have learned many things one of the most shocking is how intolerant Liberal Atheists are. I have seen much polite dialog between Christians and Muslims, Christians and Pagans and Christians and Jews.
I am surprised that the ones that I expected to be objective(atheists) and more scientific in their approach are the most subjective and insulting.
I have met and joked with some tolerant Atheists here. I also am shocked at the racism against Jews, Catholics and Evangelicals which is Extreme at times.
I have learned a lot about the Muslim faith especially.

Totally agree. Sometimes I think people are afraid of their mortality and thus latch on to whatever is easily accessible and not controversial with the people around them, in order to subdue their fears. Hence, a bunch of bible thumpers. Sad, really. But understandable at the same time. Kinda pisses me off too. Ah well. It is what it is.

I guess it's bashing when a Christian says something negative back to you, but to call Christians "annoying, lacking imagination, fanatics, hypocrites, bigots, and religious fruits" is not?
Whatever!

I'm a Christian and I'm sick of being mocked for my choice. However, God said that in these end times it would happen. So for anyone who feels like spewing hatred, I'm not surprised. God said they would.

Christians sound similar because we all want to think with the mind of Christ. We study it. We dwell on it. We hunger for it. I'm telling you this so you won't be ignorant about Christians.
The irony is, most of the non-believers sound the same to me. I wonder who they study?.....

Galileo Galelie
I do not feel obligated to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reasons, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use.
