All kitties are unique. But, I hate to tell you, that's not all that uncommon. Female kitties in particular will have a toy "baby" that they especially like. It comforts them and is a favorite toy. You might even begin to find it in or near the food/water bowls.
Fetching is also common -- it just depends on the cat. Some do it, some don't at all, but it usually comes naturally to them.
You've been enchanted! You'll never be the same again!! *LOL* The kitties have claimed you now!!! Enjoy!!

I used to have a cat that would fetch things if I threw them. All my friends thought that was amazing. She often slept with me but didn't bring anything with her. I now have a cat and everytime I head towards the bathroom she races ahead of me and jumps up on the sink for a drink from the faucet. She's a cutie!!

Your cat sounds very unique. My cat has a stuffed mouse that she somehow picks up and and throws to herself and then chases (so cute). She also has a sleeping habit of laying on the end of my bed at night. Then at about 4 in the morning she goes to the bathroom door and paws at it until I wake up and let her in to sleep in the sink. But my cat likes to play in the tub and drink from the faucet...weird. Tell your kitty my kitty says meow...

I had a cat in the past who "fetched" wadded up paper balls. One of my current cats has a toy that I call her "baby". She plays with it all the time, sleeps with it, and will go get it on command.
All cats have unique and amusing little things they do. Anyone who doesn't believe this has never spent anytime around cats. Aren't they great?

Yeah thats kool, i have a cat , but at times i think she should of been a little puppy, she loves to play fetch, and understands what i say, when i go to sleep," i say its time to sleep", and she'll just go plop her self on my pillow, ready to sleep...... One other thing about her, is that she dosent meow, at all, since she was a kitten she has been so quite, the perfect little kitty, so i call her my special kitty.....but anyways yeah cats are unique in there own way...

That's unusual, and certainly close to unique!
The closest thing I can recall: one of our cats LOVES my wife's elastic ponytail holders -- you know, those fabric-wound rubber band things that women use to keep their hair in a ponytail. This cat will pick them up off the floor and carry them around with him. My wife refers to them as "his loopy friends."
But what drives the other cats (we have five...) CRAZY is that this cat drops his "loopy friends" INTO THE FOOD DISH when he eats. The other cats walk up to the food, see a "loopy friend" or two in the dish, and you can just SEE the disgust on their face. "Oh, MAN! That idiot dropped one of those HAIR things in the FOOD again!" They walk away just completely pissed off.
So fortunately, your cat's behavior is not only unique, it's cute. :-)

sounds like you have a very cool cat!!! congrats!! =D

My cat does those things. And when she seeps with me she puts her head on the pillow under the blanket, and in the middle of the night or at like 6:00am she brings her torn up mouse (I had to sew half of it back together her) up to me to play.
