I've been to several funerals, even within my own family but I can't remember if this is customary.

It seems a nice way to symbolise love and affection but the people in my neck of the woods usually wear a certain coloured ribbon(usually yellow) pinned to their lapel-- not a corsage or anything. Those are more associated to graduations and formal occassions of grandeur-- a happy time. Not a funeral.

They can if they would like to - usually they wear them as a way of signifying that they are family members.

As far as I know the only people to wear boutonnieres are the pall bearers.

It's usually just the pall bearers.
