Moscow and St Petersburg very recently.
The caves near Batu Niah in Malaysia. Sarawak was my favourite province in Malaysia and I had my best fish meal ever in Santubong. I think, however that it's a lot more developed now than it was in 1994.
Bohol island in the Philippines.
Of course there's Scotland, particularly the North-West highlands, and Greece, but I go to those places quite frequently.
My tip would be to try to find a place that is just being discovered as a holiday destination, or somewhere that is not too easy to get to .

Susan - from the responses I've seen here, you'd be much better off deciding this one by yourself. Hey pinning the donkey's tail would be just as helpful, darts on a world map too.
I've been to Angola (during the war - twice) - that was a kick if conflict is your thing. Then there was north-west Norway - the Norse Fjord area, what a place if you are into fairy tale dream lands. How about the islands of Japan where I live now - places like Tsushima, Iki, Goto.. - they are everything a westerner ever could imagine of the orient - misty mornings, small fishing villages with kids that walk hand-in-hand to school, intoxicating aromas of cottage industry pickle makers, rice wine makers, fish cake fryers... and everybody has ten minutes to share with you.
I've been to over fifty countries and every single one was different from the next. I wouldn't trade one for the other. You decide where you want to go. Attitude (yours) is the only difference between a holiday of a life time and a disappointment. Oh, I almost forgot, you must be absolutely compatible with your travel partner and willing to accept that other places aren't exactly Kansas Susan. Bon voyage.

Ang Khor Thom City which comprises Ang Khor Wat but also many other temples, Bantay Srey, and Kbal Spean just around there the corner.

It is simply an incredible feeling to see these huge and beautiful structures just appearing from amongst the trees.

The voyage is made even more interesting on the emotional side when you talk to people around, and even visit some of the 'killing fields'.

Cambodia is a beautiful country, and if you want to see the best and the worse that humans can do, if you want to witness the resiliency of life, I can't think of many other places that I have been to.

Among the many places that I have visited, at the top of my list of memorable places would be Niagara falls seen from the Canadian side. Take a boat ride near to the falls and you will not return the same. It is breathtaking, spiritually moving and an unforgettable experience.

Definitely France. It is so amazing. There you can go to historic sites, good dining, excellent entertainment and beautiful romantic views.

But, if you like simpler things, don't miss a trip in boat by the Caribbean. But don't take a cruise, rent a yatch ( captain included) for four to six people and go visiting island to island every day. The best for doing this are the British and US Virgin Islands. There are amazing beaches, good pubs for dancing and great places to eat lobster and fresh fish.

it depends what you like. If you're a beach/adventure person, Id go to the Caribbean. I think the Western Caribbean is the best. Jungles in Belize and Jamaica, beaches in Mexico and Haiti, and Grand Cayman has some AWESOME snorkeling...but then again, all of the places do.

If you like scenery and history, Italy is AMAZING. Florence is FULL of history and beauty, Rome is like a Philadelphia/New York City w/ a Colosseum(lol) and Venice is just...i cant even describe the amazingness of it

Cruising in the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador, stopping at lots of islands and photographing lots of wildlife. (If you're interested in wildlife that is!) Beautiful scenery, interesting mainland towns, great weather and tame wild animals. It was the holiday of a lifetime. Make sure you have good security for your papers and money though, the pickpockets are very fast and skilful!
