I think that those people may be a little closed minded. I like a guy that is 17 years older than me and I never thought that I could like/love someone that much older than me. In the past, I have only dated guys that were no more than 10 years older.
A lot of people think that just because you date someone so much older that you're looking for the money, is because its true maybe some women do go looking for that type of thing. The guy I like doesn't have riches, he's a teacher! LOL
Don't worry about what others think! Age is a number and as long as you and your man have things in common, things to talk about...etc, just do it!
Good luck!

There's a few reasons. One would be that at large age differences they could be dating someone old enough to be their parents. Second if you think about the age differential when the the older person is 18 they were just a little kid like 4, 5, or 6. It's just sick to think about.

People say "eew" because of the plain fact that if you are 8, or 10 or whatever years older than someone than you should be looking for someone the same age as you. But really to me it shouldn't Matter just as long as they are both legal.

I do not see it gross. Well some women wants stable guy emotionally and probably like somebody that is more father figure, so why not? What makes it gross is most of these girls marry older guys for money.

People think it's wrong in society to date much less marry someone that old.. They think it's wrong untill... They find themselves in that position.. And then there's the "older man stereotype, in that older means OLDER In looks actions and health. Don't worry society is also changing as we speak for the better.. Slowly ..... but surely.. Take care and good luck...

Everybody has differing likes and dislikes. Tell them to enjoy theirs and you'll enjoy yours. Just as long as you aren't jail bait to him, then it's none of their concern. Let them think what they want, and you shouldn't worry about what that is.
I was married to a guy 13 years older than myself. There was too big an attitude difference for us, but it was my decision, not someone elses. And my current husband of 25 years is 6 years older.

They're thinking about the future. Imagine you being 21 and him being 35? You're at 2 different points in your life. It's better to have somebody closer to your own age.

this depends on the age you are and his age.
basically if you are both over 21, then i see no problems with an age gap of those listed.
anyone who does have aproblem is just narrow minded little uneducted fools.
just my opinion.
