Well, this may be the opposite of what you'd like to hear, but I'd say no. I've based my answer on personal experiences and the fact that I've had guy friends tell me before, and when a guy says " I think we should take a break.." they're basically just trying to let you down easy, and yeah.. in a way it's cruel, but atleast he cares enough to be thoughtful of your feelings, maybe he just doesn't want you to be heartbroken because he still cares about you, but the sparks aren't there like before, you know? There could be plenty of reasons why he'd want to breakup, just girl to girl though, don't blame yourself, that's a deep hole that'll be hard to climb out of. I wouldn't worry, because life is too short, and afterall you deserve to live it up and have fun, right?

That depends. There's a chance that you two will find that you prefer being together, rather than being with other people.
Then again, there is a chance that one or both of you with find other people that you're happier with.
You need to know that most of the time, when a guy suggests "a break", he already has someone else in mind.

Normally when a guy says that, most likely no you won't get back together. He has either found someone he is more interested in or two just doesn't like you anymore in that way. Sorry....just get back on the horse and get back into the dating game....which sucks!

But usually, when someone asks for a break, it is a sign that the end is near. Couples rarely get back together, after a temporary break.
It has happened, and isn't impossible, just highly unlikely.

Would you really want him back after he said that he wanted a break? Chances are he is going to be with someone else while you sit and 'wait'. You should move on and forget him....raise the 'bar' on dating and make sure you think of YOU.

Sorry to bring the bad news to you but it's true. And breaks are a sleezy, cheap way for a guy to break up with a girl... He needs to be more of a man and tell you to your face whats up

Well you should ask him in a calm way. Just say that you dont wanna keep guessing because you cant read minds. Just tell him you want to know If you guys gave it a try, and it didnt work, or if you guys just want to see whats out there, and date around. Im sure he'll tell you.

dont keep high hopes when they say this. they are uncomfortable for some reason. when ppl say this to there partners its usually becuase they want to date someone else or feel they might lose out on someone better that might come along.

i highly doubt it because when i a guy says that 2 u it most likely means that he's already found someone else
