Thanks Sherry, but it did theopposite for me:
"8/29/2005 - Cranberry juice has been used to promote urinary tract health for generations, but new research suggests that it may encourage the formation of the most common type of kidney stones."

Yes. I learned something new today, thanks to you:

"Citrate is a naturally occurring urinary stone inhibitor. Citrate binds to calcium in solution to form a highly soluble calcium-citrate complex, which reduces the ionic concentration of calcium and therefore the relative saturation of calcium oxalate and calcium phosphate in urine. Supplemental K-citrate (60 - 80 mEq / day) significantly increases urinary citrate and pH and reduces the incidence of recurrent stone formation. Dietary citrate supplementation through lemonade consumption has been successful. It may increase compliance and is especially useful in patients with moderate hypocitraturia. It may best be used in conjunction with pharmacologic citrate supplementation."

Yes, i believe so, But you should drink large quantities of water- at least eight to ten- ounce glasses a day. This should help flush any stones you may have through your urinary tract and help prevent other stones from forming.

A Urologist recommended that my ex drink Apple Juice every day to prevent more Kidney stones. Far as I know he's never had another one. Darn.

I don't think so. You need to lower your pH levels to keep the stones from forming. There are a number of ways of doing that...do a search online for more info.

The acidity in the lemonade can help dissolve the stones.

Don't we all wish lemonade was the magic drink, well....nope...it's that nasty tasting cranberry juice that is said to help the most......I have to go half and half with 7-up....or I can't gag it down!
