How soon after oral surgery can I fly? I am having all four wisdom teeth pulled Friday and want to fly on Saturday or Sunday (a commercial flight). Is this safe?

I like chi_chi's answer the best, but the real answer is that there should be no problem flying commercial after having your wisdom teeth removed.

Most people resume their normal schedule the day after getting their wisdom teeth out. I really don't think you are going to have any problems. Take some pain medication before you board the plane, if you think it will help.

If everything goes as planned there should be no reason why you couldn't fly over the weekend. The day after you should be able to resume your routine as usual.

Why wouldn't it be? your head might be pounding a bit more than usual but there shouldn't be any danger in flying, just as long as you aren't flying the plane.

Of course it is, until you happen to be flying the plane.
