Isn't it better to wash your butt after taking a crap then to just wipe it with toilet paper?

In most Muslim countries and some EU countries, they have water hoses next to the crappers or bidets in addition to toilet paper rolls at public places. You crap, you wipe, you wash, then wipe dry and then wash your hands with soap and water. In America only rich people are allowed to do this becuase they can affort those expensive bidets.

Sure we shower once a day, but why would you walk arround with crap on you all day until you get home. Perhaps wet toilet paper at public restrooms would be a good start.

What are your thoughts

Of course it would be better, but it is not a big issue in some countries such as the US. There is alot of cost involved, alot of maintenance, and people will just get those things dirty and make more of a mess, because thats how people are.
I think it is a good idea to see the bidet in more homes, and to have that available at home depot, or Lowes, so that more people can have them in their homes if they so choose.

Good point, now you can buy toilet wipes for your home or to take with you to a public restroom. Try it

You are absoluetly right..this is left over from our English past where bathing was done once a year whether or not you needed it. The English were the stinkiest people on Earth. IT is so easy to have your coffee, do your job, then take a shower in the morning.

This is really not an issue, as they sell flushable wipes for those who would like to spend the money, and many people, like myself, carry them in their purse.

i never poop in public. the less time there, the better. those damp toilettes work really good. if it works for a baby, it can work for me. lol. you never change a baby's diaper and just use toilet paper.
