Why is questioning validity or the existence considered insulting to religionists?
Question Mohameds motives and Muslims want to stone you to death, or cut off your head or blow up your local pizzaria.

Question a Fundamentlist christian and they want to bomb the nearest abortion clinic, or insult your mother.

Anti-intellectualism, obscuranism, and snake-handling seem to rule the day in most "Modern" religions.

And you people wonder why educated people refuse to convert?

I'll grant you anti-intellectualism, but that's ruling the day in modern U.S society in general, not just religion. Obscuranism isn't even a word, so I'm not going to address that...we haven't handled snakes in my church in weeks!
You have every right to question the validity or existence of my religion and faith, but I think it's kind of a cheap shot to claim intellectual superiority. (Although some on this site will prove your point...)

Question a Fundamentalist christian and they want to bomb the nearest abortion clinic, or insult your mother.

Let us examine that: - so if you insult Jesus Fundamentalist christian bomb the nearest abortion clinic? Where did you get that from? What is the connection between insulting Jesus and abortion clinics? Do you watch South Park or stand up comics? All those jokes about Jesus led to bombing abortion clinics? Get real. Insulting your mother is an expression of free speech (but is also not condoned by Christianity).
