In Quickbooks what's the differance between a .QBW file and a .QBB file?

The .QBW file is main data file used by Quickbooks. Qbb is the backup.

A QBW fiile is a data file. A QBB file is a backup copy of a QBW file.

Hey, I don't know the answer, but we are having tropuble at work making an accountants copy onto a disc. It says the copy is made, but then says it can't open the file. Let me know if you find out anything, it says it has to be a QBW file I thnk. Thank You!
