Well, you're never going to forget them so that's out of the question. Try loving who and what you've got. Or, if you are not in a relationship, try concentrating your own job or career, and help others. There is always someone in a worse situation than you who could use a shoulder to cry on or a helping hand.

Stop obsessing over what you cant have and go and get what you can have. You are wasting your time, energy, concentrating on what you have said is impossible.

Whether tis to be or tis not you must consider this. If one's heart cannot be true to another then, I fear, it would be the downfall in that relationship... try to move on. hobbies are a good start. also hang out with your friends. just get out of your mind that you can't be with this person. it'll take time but it will happen.
