Don't know what you have in the fridge, or how much time you have before this occassion, but a really easy recipe that is delicious is grilled chicken, sauteed spinach and angel hair with a reduced white wine sauce (I assume you are at least 21 ; ).
Its sounds hard, but its not.... You'll need 2 breasts of chicken, baby romaine spinach, butter, heavy cream, garlic (minced), salt/pepper, cheap white wine and a good bottle of wine for the meal, lemon and a box of like Rice A Roni 5 minute angel hair noodles (pick a garlic herb or fettcuine sauce).
Just start grilling the chicken (broiler or the George Foreman ; ) ), * a tip for the chicken to make it tender and yummy is cut off all the white stuff and pound it in a bag before you grill * and begin the sauce in the pan- pour some wine wine in a sauce pan, the minced garlic, salt/pepper, little bit of lemon, the sauce packet from the angel hair box, and a little bit of heavy cream. Place it on low until it simmers... you want it to cook very slow and simmer.
Once the chicken is done, set aside, start the 5 min. noodles, then your sauce should be getting thicker... add some more wine, and heavy cream.... remember to stir the sauce frequently! Toss in baby spinach and keep stiring it will wilt. Add more based on your preference and dice up the chicken while you are doing this. The noodles are done- drain, place back in a large bowl or the pot, pour in the sauce, and toss in the chicken. Mix (toss) the noodles so they are well covered... couple this with a salad and like I said a good bottle of wine and some candlelight and you will be THE MAN! lol
ps- if you both like spicy food you can add just a LITTLE bit of crushed red pepper and its really good too!
Have fun and good luck!

Try some tacos, so easy!!! Most girls love cheese, ya know :P~~
You can get hard shell or some soft four tortillas(or both), brown some ground beef get plain old taco sauce, a Goya packet from the grocery store is good to add with the taco sauce, mix w/beef. Chop up some lettuce, tomato, onion, cilantro, sliced black olives, sour cream, grate some cheese, everything is all in different little bowls and she can pick her toppings, how fun! If health conscious use ground turkey in place of beef. You will do more cutting than cooking. Gently warm the tortilla up so it is soft and bends easy. Dessert can be a strawberry margarita, get the frozen one over in the juice section, the one in a can and fallow the directions, if you do not want alcohol it can still be made w/out it. Very easy and all the food groups, good luck.

Quick and very tasty meal.
Penne Pasta w/marinara
Ground italian sausage
zucchini large cuts
fresh green beans
Cook the penne noodles, the sausage and steam the veggies (make sure they stay firm)
Warm up some marinara. Store bought bottles like Classico Tomato Basil taste very good on there own but add a tabel spoon of sugar to get rid of the acidity
Mix the veggies noodles and sausage. Heap on a plate, pour sauce on top and add greated or powdered parmesan and you'll have a very tasty meal as well it looks quite presentable. My wife got the idead from Rachel Ray and I had it for dinner last night and lunch today.
Good luck. I hope you 2 have a great night. White wine goes well with the meal too.

Spaghetti. Its easy, its romantic. Heres an idea...
Nice set table, candles, fresh bread from the bakery, some red wine a chianti is very nice with pasta, and some flowers on the table. Put in some mood music.
Pick up some Classico of your choice I like the mushroom olive, get some lean ground beef, I prefer organic, get wheat montana thin spaghetti noodles, or other if thats not available but its the best, and some fresh shredded parmesan from the deli. If she likes mushrooms pick up some fresh ones in the produce section and cut and add them to the sauce later.
Cook the noodles, put in some salt and olive oil. Brown the beef, season salt and simmer, drain, mix into simmering sauce, and when your noodles get done, in a colander rinse with cool water.
Top noodles with hot sauce and some fresh parmesan, warm your bread and get butter and there ya go. She will love it, and for dessert maybe ice cream...or strawberries and chocolate sauce... Good Luck!

Chicken breasts - salt and pepper them, dredge them in flour and shake off the excess, throw them in a HOT frying pan with a little oil (I like olive oil). Cook for 3 - 4 minutes on each side.
Pasta - just a side dish - boil up whatever kind you like (smaller pieces rather than the long stringy ones if it's a "date" - less messy). Drain and toss with a little butter, then sprinkle some grated parmesan or romano cheese (only the fresh stuff). If you have jarred sauce on hand, heat a little of that and put it on both the pasta and the chicken. Sprinkle a little mozzarella over the chicken and let it melt. Or, you could make some rice but use chicken broth instead of water for better flavor.
Vegetable of choice - steamed, boiled, roasted - whatever you have on hand. Toss a little butter and cheese or herbs or nuts in with the veggies when they're finished.
Dessert - Chocolate. Put some strawberries in a dish, drizzle a bit of melted chocolate (chips are fine) over them, then top with whipped cream.
Great. Now I'm hungry.

Try this - I do it when I don't want to spend too much time cooking and it tastes good.
THAI RED CHICKEN CURRY OVER STEAMED RICE
You need -
1 packet frozen stir fry vegetables
1 packet Thai red curry paste (or a bottle)
1 packet of grilled chicken breast
1 can of coconut milk
Onion
Basil
Salt
1/2 cup water
Oil to fry
Rice
Heat oil in wok. Fry the onion until golden brown. Add chicken pieces and 1 tablespoon of the curry paste and fry for about 2-3 minutes. Finally add the packet of stir fry vegetables and simmer over low heat after adding the water, salt and coconut milk for about 10 minutes. When it strats boiling add the chopped basil leaves and remove from fire.
Steam rice in a rice cooker. Serve the chicken curry over a bed of rice.
You can substitute mince beef/ prawn for chicken - I ususally like chicken as it cooks easiest!

Call her "girl" friends and get brownie points because you will have a heads up, plus they might have other suggestions you might not think of to do. She'll apprechiate that you took the time to do your research. And don't forget, a good bottle of wine can make it good too, just ask the store which wine goes best with what you are making, a white, red or rose etc... cheers and good luck.

Pesto and Pine Nut
White Sauce Over Pasta
4 tbsp. butter
4 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt (or more to taste)
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 c. milk
1-2 tbsp. pesto (to taste)
1/4 tsp. oregano
3 tbsp. roasted pine nuts
1 c. shredded soft white cheese
Romantic Tip Box
Holly says you can't rush a good white sauce. Blend it together slowly and stick with it to keep it smooth.Basic white sauce: in saucepan melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour, salt and dash pepper. Add milk a little at a time stirring constantly to keep sauce smooth. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and bubbly. If you like it thinner, add a little more milk. Cook and stir 2 minutes more.
Add pesto, pine nuts and oregano. Add cheese stirring constantly until melted and sauce is smooth. Add anything else you'd like such as cooked veggies, shrimp or mushrooms.
Serve over hot cooked pasta. Linguine or even spinach linguine is nice. Open a bottle of chilled white wine. Light a candle. Enjoy.

Go with the spaghetti. Open a jar of store bought and jazz it up. Fresh grated Romano will help. And a bottle of chianti. Don't forget store bought garlic bread, for the oven. Feed her and fu_k her. You'll both be happy. Salad, also store bought, before the main course will help. You get your salad tossed.
