Personally I'm both. I have a cat though because I'm allergic to dogs.

Cat, definitely. Though dogs LOVE me, for some reason -- mainly because I look them in the eyes and treat them with respect. But I have always been a cat guy.
You didn't ask why, but one of my favorite things about cats is that they purr. I just LOVE the fact that they can purr when they're happy.

Both really, but, right now, I have 4 indoor cats, and I dont think it would be fair to them if we got a dog!
