Guess that was a dumb way to put it.....my freezer door was ajar-meat thawed probably 85% but is still very cold---is it safe to refreeze? all of it is beef.

No. Cook it up and then refreeze it.

Go to: www.askthemeatman.com/refreezing_food.htm He says it can be done, but only when certain conditions have been met. Go read about it. It's real interesting , too. He also gives you tips about freezing vegatables, too.
