I have a niece and a nephew,each form a different sister. They are both 2. Everyone is always picking on the boy, who is my favorite(I call him Apple) but they rarely ever disclipline the little girl who is a 2 year old heffer! Why is this?

I wouldn't worry about it. The one who gets spoiled winds up a poorer in character adult.
I'm so glad I have little boys. I have 3! I am not tempted to spoil them with things, as marketing doesn't cater to boys, only to girls. I spoil my boys with hugs and tickles and kisses! No one repremands me when I have to be tough on them, because good men have been taught discipline as boys.

Because everyone thinks the little girl as fragile and the little boy should be raised to be tough and not be babied. this is so wrong, all children deserve to be loved and cherished and each is an individual. they are missing out on the fun and special relationship that this young man could share with them. the little girl already knows that she has it made.

I have 2 grandchildren and I love them both equally. They are 11 months apart. Right now they are both 3. But one is so helpful and does what you ask of her. The younger one is so defiant and just does things she knows is wrong to test you which in the end she is the one that gets disciplined more often. They both get treated equally or atleast we try our best.

This is true in just about all families. There is a favorite and one that is less so..... It's just natural.
If anything, it has to be the responsee of the kid. They like the kid that respons to them better, good or bad. The kid that gets more of a reaction is the favorite.
