When I was a Christian (sorry, all done with that phase in my life), I would always make sure I had a day off every week where I could simply relax. It wasn't always Sunday, or any other specific day.
Now, even as a non-Christian, I always make sure I have a quiet day. There's more reason to keep a 'sabbath' day than just because God said so. Having a day off refreshes you and stops you from becoming obsessed with work or some other activity you spend all the rest of the week doing.

Yes. In fact, it became quite an issue at my last job. When new management came in, they asked if I was SURE I couldnt work on Sundays, and I said I absolutley COULD, I just would not. They hired me with that clause, and I was a good employee, so they abided by it. It is the only commandment that is not repeated somewhere in the N.T., but I am very active in church, and I was not willing to forgo corporate worship in church for the business. I believe that is more important than what day you do or don't rest. Plus, I need my Sunday nap. I don't do well without it, and everybody knows it. :)

i do. i always go to church.
the Sabbath is a day where you can put the pressures of the world aside and worship with your friends. I find it easier to pray or worship when i know the people around me are supportive and are thinking the same way.
its a commandment. and Sabbath was made for men, not for God. This day has been blessed by God.Why wouldnt i keep this commandment?
ive heard many testimonies of people who were blessed for keeping the sabbath. they are very inspiring...and true.

It's one of the hardest ones because SO many people work and like to do things after church that are active or catching up on stuff that didn't get done during the week, but the Sabbath really is a day of rest, and as Christians we need to pretain to keeping it.

Yes, from sun-down Friday night to sun-down Saturday night.
Because I am a child of Abraham.
John 8:39
"Abraham is our father," they answered. "If you were Abraham's children," said Jesus, "then you would do the things Abraham did.
Genesis 26:5
because Abraham obeyed me and kept my requirements, my commands, my decrees and my laws.
Because the Sabbath was made for me.
Because to the foreigners who keep the Sabbath and hold fast to his covenant, he will count as his own.
Because not one letter of the law is removed.
Because those who practice and teach the law will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Because the law is good, the law is spiritual.
Because fearing YHWH and keeping the law is the whole duty of man.
Because I choose life.

Matthew 5:17,21,23,27,31,38
Do not think I came to destroy the law or the prophets, I came not to destroy but to fulfill.
also saying that the old laws consisting in degrees was nailed to the torture stake with the Christ.
That same law was not given to Adam
Wasn't until 3000 years later when the slaves from Egypt was entering the promise land. Being slaves they didn't have a day off. God connects his giving the sabath with the Isreal's deliverance from Egypt.
They asked Jesus what was the most important commandment
He didn't site the 10 commandments: He said
You must love God with your whole heart mind, soul and strength. You must love your neighbor as yourself.

Yes. Or at least I try...I could always do better. I keep it because we were never commanded or given leave by scripture not to. We, as a family, are Sabbatarians and also keep the food laws of not eating pork and sea food..only fish and the things designated as food. I believe there is a large turning of christians back to the Old Testament precepts realizing that when Jesus said "If you love me you will keep my commandments" He meant it. The Sabbath is for man...established as tythe of our time given with attention to be paid to God on that day in order to turn our minds back to creation and the Creator and in doing so bring us back to His Word and draw us closer to Him. The Sabbath is a mystery.
I havent figured it out yet.
However take notice of this. God did not end his work on the 6th day. He ended his work on the 7th day. How do I know?:
Gen 2:2 And on the seventh day God finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done.
Now if God finished his work on the 6th day why does it not say that he did? Rather it says he finished his work on the 7th. What did he do on the seventh day?
Im trying to figure it all out.

Start by resolving the question of Saturday or Sunday sabbath. It is supposedly a day you devote to religion, family and god. You probably can't do that at a baseball game or watching the tube all day.
