In some cities....if it is just a traffic warrant....yes....they may call you to try and get you to resolve it.
Other warrants no.
Go to your local PD and have them run a name check.
Have your life in order before you do that because you never know what they may pull up because they will take you in right then and there.
Good luck.

perhaps - I had a highway patrolman call me once to tell me he was
coming over to serve a bench warrant for an unpaid ticket. Guess what
I did? Damn right -- I boogied on down the road and passed the cop on the
way to my house!!!

Some police agencies call on their warrants - even if they aren't "just traffic warrants". Our local agency calls on most everything to give people the opportunity to do the right thing and turn themselves in.

Normally no. They may call and pretend to be a pizza delivery company to see if you are home and then come get you.
I guess if you live in "Mayberry" they may call you to have you come in and turn yourself in. Or if you are rich and famous the DA would contact you though your attorney at time

I'm not sure. however, if anyone calls saying that you have won a new big screen t.v. i would definitely go pick it up. seriously, though, why don't you call and ask them if you have a warrant? if they tell you that you do you should go turn yourself in and get the matter resolved.

I would not expect that unless he is a personal friend. Most people will tend to hide if they know there is a warrant out for them.
