The bible details over and over and over and over how God's people sinned, screwed up, and rejected Him, and He was faithful. Seems like if they were schizo, or lying, they would have painted themselves in a better light.

There are predictions made in the Bible, about the future, that historians have shown to have actually happened, exactly as foretold in the Bible way earlier. The historians are also able to determine that the writings, by their styles and language, were written before the events happened.

Archeology and historians have shown the Bible to be accurate to such a degree, that the only good explanation is that the Bible is divine in origin.

The Bible was written by men, some were inspired, some weren't. Some just thought they were writing letters, or recording history for posterity. Some very well may have been schizos.

Please don't waste time. Give a good question and you will get a good answer.

Joh 21:24 This is the disciple who is bearing witness about these things, and who has written these things, and we know that his testimony is true.

The bible was written over a long period of time by different people, then translated and edited by others. Much that comes down to us in the new testament comes from ancient Greek philosophy, written hundreds of years before Christianity.

You don't. How do you know that what a "scientist" sees through his telescope to tell us that a star is "100 Million lightyears" away, and that it is made of a certain gas?

It's based on faith, but these are the same people who have to check ANYTHING that has a "Wet Paint" sign to see if it is dry or not. They don't have faith that the sign is correct, but they'll believe a book supposedly correctly translated, and not changed at all after its inception.

Why is the guy on the corner talking to himself crazy when everynight people talk to "God", who isn't thier either?

Why was David Koresh crazy? Who is to say he WASN"T the next prophet?

That's my take on it. Hope it helped.

Well, read it carefully and take a conclusion. What do you think?, how this book become so important through times and stayed with minor changes?, do you think its message is unimportant or it is very important?. It was writen through a period of 4000 years, in 3 different languajes by more than 40 authors. The name biblie comes from biblio (library). It is therefore a collection of books.

the bible was written by men, stop at that, who knows if there is a god . they thought up the fairy tale and the history was plugged in just enough to make it sound possible, but all written many years after the fact. I doubt they were nuts but they sure were interested in ruling people for power and gain.

"Apologetics," as defined in Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary, is "a branch of theology devoted to the defense of the divine origin and authority of Christianity."
If you want to know more about apologetics, this is the place to be. You'll find proof that the Christian faith is based on fact, not fiction.

We know God told men what to write & many eye witness accounts of Jesus--try this: Google "canonization of the Bible" ask the scholars who specialize in this field and the hundreds of years of research that has gone into it. Especially Josh McDowell--google him also!

The Bible was written by a conclave headed by the Roman Emperor Nero around 400AD. Its got about as much truth in it as a Spiderman comic, maybe less.
