Its sounds silly but how do you break up with your boyfriend? Obviously he wasn't the real thing and you want someone else. Do it yourself. Tell him that you don't love him and its time to move on. Don't stay with him just to stay with him. Think about it this way. If it was the other way around. How would you want to him to break up with you. Would you want his friend to do it?

It is NEVER ok to let your friend do the dirty work for you. It's not a good feeling to get dumped in the first place. That would be ten times worse. So if you really did like this guy, show him the respect he deserves and be big about it. Even if you have to do it on the phone ( face to face is always best, but...) you have to do it yourself. It won't be nearly as bad as you think and you'll feel better afterward. Like you did the right thing. Then there's a chance you guys could be friends later. As far as what to say, we don't know your situation so we can't tell you that. Just be honest and NICE. Keep the hurt feelings to a minimum and it will be okay. Good luck!!

The operative be conscious is boyfriend. that's a boy who hasn't matured right into a guy. genuine adult males do no longer verbally abuse women. some stay as boys all their life. Do your self a want early in life and detect a real guy. they are accessible.

first of all you need to tell him. if this was the real thing then you owe it to him to step up, be honest and do it yourself. do it in person. just tell him the truth and be gentle with it. say you don't think you two are compatible and you don't see a future with him.
just don't have your friend break up with him for you, especially if this was the "real thing." show some respect.
