i need to downlad drivers for my sound card and modem. i cant get online using the computer that needs the drivers. can i download the drivers on my other computer then save them to a disk or memory stick and then install them onto the computer that needs the drivers?

First, check the manufacturer's website.

If you know the brand, and model number; then look it up at http://www.driverguide.com

Yes, download these onto your memory stick or disk, then bring it to the needy computer and install it. If you do not have Windows XP, you might to have Winzip or other software to unzip the drivers.

Yes you can di it, whenever you do it from another computer, make sure you tell the computer where to look for it during the hardware instalation

No downloading them on a computer that allready has them will not mess it up, as long as you dont install the newly downloaded driver
