Yes they do, I have MS " Multiple Sclerosis " and when I have headache or numbness in my hands and legs my 2 Chihuahuas lay still near me and they lick my hand or feet and behave very will and if any one comes to my room they bark at them and don’t let them near me, they are just angels when im sick and devils when im ok.

My wife and I have 2 Siberian Huskies. One of our huskies bonded with me (shortly after we got her, I had back surgery and was off work for a while, so I was home with her all the time while my wife was gone all day at work). We got her as a stray, and it was obvious from her behavior that she had been abused by her previous owner. She was given (and still gets) a lot of attention and TLC. During my recuperation from back surgery, she would very gently hop up on the bed and lay next to me for most of the day. She somehow seemed to understand that I was in a lot of physical pain from my surgery. Or maybe it was just her way of "giving back" for all the love and attention she continues to receive. We adopted our other husky from the local animal shelter. She has bonded with my wife, as we got her about the same time that I recovered from surgery, went back to work, and my wife quit her job to stay home and start her own medical transcription business. Our other husky has not shown any signs of being abused and is very happy-go-lucky. She doesn't really seem to pick up on when one of us is feeling ill, (or maybe she just doesn't care - she is in her own little world most of the time - lol!) but she is a very sweet and loving dog. Both of our dogs are therapy dogs for the elderly and disabled.

My dog can sense it, when I'm just laying on my bed watching T.V. she'll sometimes get bored and leave. But when I'm sick she stays there and either sleeps or chews a bone on the foot of my bed, and some times she even snuggles up to me!
And you know the service dogs, they can sense when someone's about to have a seizure, and they'll become really protective. When someone has a seizure they'll either find help, or get them to help, or get them to take medicine. So i guess it all sums up to yes, they can sense when you feel sick.

Many do. I think this is for two reasons: dogs focus intently on body language and will notice when something changes in their owner's behavior that puts them in a weaker state, and dogs have a miraculous sense of smell that can predict seizures and identify cancer in owners among other things (do a search and you will be amazed at the things dogs can do).

Actually, they do. The reason they do is because dogs pick up our energy's. This means when we are happy, dogs tend to become more energetic, when we are mad, a dog may tend to stay away for awhile or just keep quiet, and if we're sad, they may tend to stay nearer to us. Dogs are made of energy, and they communicate with one another through the way they hold their bodies and the energy that they project to one another. The same thing with humans Good question, thank you.

Yes, I belive that dogs are very perceptive that way. One time I had a fever of 102 degrees. My dog laid at the foot of the bed with me. He stayed with me the entire time. I will never forget that!
