I am in college and I really love going to school and I want to better my life. But my dad has abandoned us and my mom is disabled. And I know I need to help my family. Should I quit going to school and work full time at some job or should I continue going to school?

=( I am so confused.

Do what you feel you have to do for your family and let God handle the rest. If it's meant for you to go back to school, then you will. If you have your mother's back, God will have yours. Don't let the negativity or hardships of another mufuka who gave up and is now a fu*kin bum, become yours. Everybody got a bad story, but everybody aint you. Your special!! And FU*K anybody that think different!! F.T.F (Feed The Family) handle your business and let life take care of itself.....Holla if you need me

some all and sundry isn't teachers. If i turned right into a guy I probably could have give up college. there's a lot money to be made and faculty is boring, stiff, and that i'm no longer a tutorial. i do not imagine there is something incorrect with that. on account that i'm a woman, and that i'm able to't make any money without training i will visit college. ayannada: there is money to be made the position i'm from. maximum trades adult adult males earn added money than those who've masters ranges some even better than doctorate ranges. those are those who dropped out of highschool. . i'm talking totally about the position I"m from. you're for sure no longer too shiny.

It depends. How far along are you? If you are almost finished, then continue. If not, try to do the schooling part time. Remember, education is one of your keys to success. It does not guarantee a better life for you and your mom, but it will help out a lot. It will be a sacrifice either way you look at it. Do you sacrifice your future or do you just disregard your mom's welfare? Best suggestion is to try to get some schooling done at least. Good luck.

Oh, I hope you'll be fine! That must be a hard choice... But if I were you, I would keep on going to school. It is very sweet of you to want to help your mom, but don't ruin your chances for the future by quitting college... Maybe you can try to find someone who could come and help you with your mom, or someone to watch over her and take care of her when you're studying. Or did you hear about taking classes by mail or by Internet... I heard about but unfortunately, I can't tell you much more about it... Talk about it to people around you, maybe someone will know... Oh, well good luck! I hope it all works out for the best...

Don't quit going to school...get that degree! If dad is out of the picture, you should be able to get financial aid and mom should be able to get some assistance from the government for financial reasons. Did you know if dad is gone, he is still responsible for you financially until you quit going to to school or turn 21 or get married...at least it is like that in Indiana! If you are going to school away from home and you can get a good education near your mom...transfer and help her too. But don't give up on welfare and dad's child support check :)

Good luck!

As long as it is possible for you to go to school continue to go to school. I don't know your situation in depth, as to the extent to your plight and what needs to be done to take care of your disable mum. Going to school and getting good grades, will help you in obtaining a good paying job.

As long as it is possible and i can't stress this enough. Go to school as long as it is possible. If you leave school premature you will regret it as this world is not an easy place if you are not educated.

This part time job that you mention is not the place you will want to stay all the days of your life. Use your situation as a propellant to push you forward and get good drades at school.

I'm thinking long term here, as at some point in time you will need to seek a job you like if such is possible in your neck of the woods.

So sorry to hear about your current situation. Quitting school is not the answer unless your mother really needs you. If so you can always go back to school at a later date and finish your degree. Whatever path you may choose I wish you the best.

you should help your family but try to stay in school if possible. maybe consider going to community college.
