Christians and most westerners do not consider it an insult to try to prove someone wrong, look at or make a picture of them, etc. I think muslims are insulted by a lot of things that christians do not find insulting or blasphemous. It's our culture to question things, and I don't find myself insulted if someone asks me to prove my point of view. I don't think christ or mohammed would have been insulted by that in life. Are there no scriptures in the koran where he was questioned by others?

I also don't find it insulting for someone to burn the bible - its just a book and we can print more - paper, ink and glue - the words are holy, but the vehicle - the book itself is not.

I think that there is a perception among non-muslim westerners that muslims are overly sensitive to insult. Christ has been caricatured many times without riots by christians - as have many of our prominent figures. To most of us, it is at most, just bad taste.

It just seems odd to us that people would kill over some of the issues above.

Many Christians have a history of being intolerant. Thankfully now they just verbally insult (if they are not bombing from advanced planes your civilians and calling you terrorists on top of it. BUTthe good news is this:

In the old days Muslims would be burnt on the stake or slaughtered until the blood flowed up to your ankles as it happened during the crusades. Now finally many of the Christians at least pretend to be peaceful and many have in fact become more peaceful with the Enlightenment in Europe.

YET, it is a point to ponder that sixty million people were killed in WWII alone, a war that took place predominantly among Christian nations. Even now the Christian nations are responsible for killing more innocent than any other.

Even terrorism by the evil ones of ISLAM is like child's play in comparison to the systematic killing of the innocent all across the globe by the Western nations who claim to be Christian.

This whole thing about Jesus being peaceful almost seems like a propaganda tool to hide the REALITY.

But, then again, I could be all wrong. Peace, Salaam.

Hi the guy

We Christians and other enemies of Islam insult the profit Muhammad because we are moral creatures. Although this is certainly not only a Christian thing but also an Atheist and Hindu and heck people from just about all back grounds are against Islam. Why? Because islam is evil and since we care we speak against it. It is no different than speaking against Nazism.

Believe me Muslims insult Jesus both directly and indirectly. How you say? The very existence of Islam insults Jesus. Does not your profit say he was not God (which is a core belief in Christianity) and does not your profit say his death on the cross was an illusion (which is absurd in the highest degree)?

So don't act like the victim. We non-Muslims are the victim and as such we have the right to retaliate against this insanity which is called Islam.

This is why I personally speak out against it; My God tells me to:

Amo 5:15 Hate evil, and love good, and establish justice in the gate; it may be that the LORD, the God of hosts, will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.

Only those without a heart will stay silent. God bless all those Christian or not who speak against Islam or any other kind of evil.

Please don't try to con us. Muslims insult Jesus all the time. The Arab world is full of cartoons against Jews, Christians, Moses, Jesus and anybody else you guys feel like venting your hatred at.

And don't try to say "only Christians" insult the pro mo. Those cartoonists in Denmark weren't Christians, they were just guys trying to make a point. Christianity in Denmark is as rare as hens teeth. Why are ALL muslims liars like you?

I've read some of Pisslams Queeran's stuff. He hates Muslims with a passion. You guys earn alot of people's ire, I don't even like you. You may say it's only the wahhabis that are violent, but the rest of you don't ever voice a dissenting opinion against the fringies! Whether or not you do the violence, you're in their cheering section! Have you ever thought about standing up for what's true, pure, loving, kind, thankworthy, merciful, just?

Your boys strap bombs on children and send them out to die! How cool is that.

Luckily, I've read the answers in the back of the book and know that you guys lose in the end, so I'm not so militant. You ought to read it sometime. It's a very GOOD BOOK

May I apologise on behalf of all of my Christian Brothers and Sisters.

Personally I place Mohammad in a category with the disciples as other. Prophetic? yes. Had it all correct? no. BUt then again neither did John, Peter, Paul and the lot. Then again I do not worship john, peter or paul or for that matter I do not worship Jesus incarnate. I do worship God and pray in the name of Jesus whose suffering and spilt blood makes me worthy of talking to God.

Considering the history of that area of the world it is of little wonder that God chose to speak to Muhammed to lead the non-Jewish natives to a closer relationship. The disciples were too Jewish in background to understand that the land of the Israelites was also someones elses as well and needed to be shared. That is what the conflicts today are all about. No one wants to share and no one respects the other. It made no sense for the palistinians to destroy the fields when they retook control of the land Just because a Jew planted the field.

I fortunately am glad to share. As a disciple of Christ I am joint heir to the throne on which Christ sits as ruler over all the earth.
I do not want and or need to control all of it and in fact it would be really lonely if I evicted all of you (humankind). All I ask is that we try to play nice, not tear it up and remember we have to give it back some day.

The reason why Muslims like yourself, do not insult the Lord Jesus, is because Jesus & His Blessed Mother are venerated by Muslims.

Muhammed, however, is not venerated by Christians, that is why a Christian might insult him.

Over the years, I've seen Jewish posters insult Jesus(though in most cases it is in retaliation against being proslytized against).

I have also seen Muslim posters insult Bahaullah, the founder of Bahaism.

When you say Jesus is not the Son of God, you insult Jesus. When you say Jesus did not fulfill his duty (dying on the cross) you insult Jesus. When you say that God can not ever have a Son you limit the power of God in your own thinking and therefore insult God.

Muslims insult God and his Son, every day, all day long and never bat an eye. But if anyone dare even sneeze out Muhammad's name many Muslims are ready to kill and slaughter AS IF Muhammad was a god, and that my friend is worship of a human being.

God dwelt and dwells INSIDE of Jesus - we Worship God who is in him, not the human shell.

I'm sorry that there are christians who insult him. Unfortunatly, people don't understand that those muslims that blow things up are fundimentalists (christianity has it's fair share to- they blow up abortion clinics) but there are people like myself that know that's not what Islam is about. And for those with the rude answers Judge not less thee be judged!

Usually it's the atheists that go after all the faiths. Kind of reminds me of bullys who think they smell the blood of a potential victim....boy are they wrong about Whose blood it is...

Anyway, if a Christian (not a Westerner) insults you or your faith, God will correct him or her. Don't worry...:)
