Depends on what is important to you....If its money then yes, one would make that trade off, take the million and live in Kyrgyzstan.

But, if you take joy in the little things, like family, friends, work, etc., then one would prefer a pauper in USA....Happiness is a choice.

Always the millionaire. Even if you live in a hell-hole you can live a good life. Plus if you're rich you can probably finance a coup and take over the country.

without defending your citizenship and not give it away

then

your money and your citizenship mean nothing.
