Call your Senator today and urge them to support a permanent end to the death tax.

Senator Bill Nelson - 202-224-5274

Ending the death tax is a matter of basic fairness. No one should be taxed twice and death should not be an excuse for the government to take your money away. Congress passed and the President signed death tax relief, but if nothing is done, the death tax returns at full force in 2010, resulting in a massive tax increase on family-owned small businesses. These same businesses often cannot survive into a second generation because of the death tax.

This is an issue that affects us all. Just do the math. Sixty-one percent of small business owners say that the death tax limits their growth - and small businesses create two out of every three of the new jobs in America. This Democrat obstruction threatens job creation. Call Senator Bill Nelson at 202-224-5274.

He is not my senator and this is not a question.

I happen to oppose the death tax (aka estate tax).

Are you out of your mind & just making up random numbers?

Only the wealthiest 2% of individuals are affected. http://www.irs.gov/businesses/small/article/0,,id=108143,00.html

& on top of that, the exemption limit is set to rise to $3mil for married couples from the current $1mil, which will exempt even more.

The real question is, should firefighters, teachers, & police officers pay a larger share of the federal budget so that the paris hilton's of the world have to scrounge on a meager $300mil inheritance instead of $500mil. Do we really need more than 1 Paris.

Second, wouldn't be more fair if those who can most shoulder the burden paid the biggest share? Try a philosophy class before you start arguing that there is only one notion of fairness.
