Shouldn't you be asking who the father was?

Were Jesus and Mary Magdelane not the same age roughly? I believe that Mary was his mother. Although I am not a bible basher and couldn't even say I am a Christian, I do believe that Mary is Jesus' mother and God is his father. It's what I have been brought up to believe and will continue to do so until someone comes up with some proof. I really don't think that Mary M was his ma though!

First of all thank you for the sincerity of your asking and no offense is taken.

Biblically speaking Jesus does not have a mother. Jesus was supernaturally placed in Mary's womb (and that's why in the gospels the angels came to tell her of the news) because she had not had relations (sex) with Joseph.

I've no idea where the idea of Mary Magdalene giving Jesus up for adoption comes from -- but just to say there is no evidence that would even suggest that. It would be quite a cover-up and considering what a big deal the birth of Christ is (believers and unbelievers alike) it's a crazy conspiracy idea that's unfounded. Just from reading this site you know there are a lot of those who like to prove that Jesus is not God and this was true even in Jesus' time so had any such evidence been available you could be sure that it would be exposed and not hidden...

Mary Magdalen couldn't have been his mother, because she was a whore at his time frame. If she had been his mother, should would have been in her late 40's or 50's, beyond the average lifespan of the time, and too old to be a whore. Remember, Jesus was not mature enough to leave home until he was 30. Now, has a clincher. In order for his sacrifice to remove sin from the world, he had to be the same as the man whole brought it into the world, Adam. He had all the exact genetic makeup, so was he a clone?

Now, if he had married and had children, they would have live forever, had perfect health, and would been like super-humans.

Hmmm. Some say Jesus & Mary M were most likely around the same age...but there is NO evidence to suggest this. There is also NO record in the bible of MM being a whore.

the facts as per the Bible are:

Luke 8:1-3 Shortly afterwards he went journeying from city to city and from village to village, preaching and declaring the good news of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with him, 2 and certain women that had been cured of wicked spirits and sicknesses, Mary the so-called Mag′da‧lene, from whom seven demons had come out, 3 and Jo‧an′na the wife of Chu′za, Herod’s man in charge, and Su‧san′na and many other women, who were ministering to them from their belongings

MM was cured of a seven demon possession two years prior to his death. Since then she, and others had taken it upon themselves to care for Jesus' and his diciples. It in no way infers inpropriety, so much so that the FIRST person Jesus appeared to after his resurection was Mary M - whilst she wandered in the garden - obviously distraught that the Lord's body was missing from the tomb.

And as for 'adoption' of whore's children - the Jews of the first century weren't exactly that sort of people (no offence), family looked after it's own. The ONLY recorded adoption in the bible was that of Moses by an EGYTPTIAN.

Well... I believe in the Bible, so I'd say Mary, the mother of Jesus, getting married to Joseph. Not Mary Magdalene.

It is very sad that today people writes very rude answers to a questioner...they'd better keep their mouth shut and let people think wonder they are fools than open it and confirm they indeed are.

In reply to your answer...Mary, the Virgin Mary, was the mother of Jesus. My Koran states Mary was the mother of Jesus. So does the Bible. Why should it be someone else?

If Wayne Rooney score 3 goals in the last 10 minutes of a game, unbelievers will shout MIRACLE..the tabloids will say same....but when GOD your Creator as well as mine DOES a miracle, people start mocking....Look at a cow, it eats grass and gives milk out of it....who caused that? EINSTEIN? NEWTON? or YOU mockers?...how sad...lost souls. You shall surely meet your CREATOR and unto HIM shall be your return...ONLY then time for regrets will come to pass...PLEASE for goodness sake, dear people, don't say silly things . Don't insult the DIVINE things of which you have no knowledge

u need jesus.
u need prayer.
jesus's mother was mary. she was no where near a whore. she never gave jesus up for adoption. so where have u gotten this info from?
which bible?
mary magdelene was a prostitute, but she went to jesus and asked him for forgiveness. he forgave her & told her to repent which she did & repenting means to turn from sin. which she did.
mary & joseph were jesus's parents. mary had jesus & joseph was her husband. god allowed mary to conceive jesus christ thru the holy spirit.
so i think u truly need to read the bible & get your facts straight.
jesus is the way, the truth & the life/light.
i'll be praying for u.

Okay.....to start Mary of Magdalene was NOT a whore, that was a story created by one of the popes. She was a young woman that he cured of 6 demons.....which just means six illnesses. She was his companion....some think wife...... Mary was a very common name as it is today. There was a story however that his mother Mary was raped my a roman soldier and a family friend (Joseph) married her so she would not be stoned to death. They still kill a woman who is raped there, it is a disgrace to the whole family.

The Virgin Mary is his mother. Joseph's wife. Now Mary Magdalene was said to be Jesus' wife, but that is yet to be proven.

Right i like the idea.. Jesus was adopted from a biblical Hooker.... that would explain alot......why he thought he was the son of God.... Mary told him a cover-up story, and when he found out the truth and lost the plot!.....
Anyway enough of the fairy-tails anyone got any questions about little green men, pixies, goblins and elf-lins'.....
