Mexico has the 5th largest economy on the planet. Massive corruption and unions with no teeth generally relegate the workers to poverty status even when working 60 hours a week.

well go to Mexico city which the majority of Mexicans live and yes there is plenty of jobs....
The ones who come here are usually from small towns with no jobs or opportunities.
These are the towns that fall through the cracks and their govt. does nothing to promote job creation.....
Fox has done NOTHING, not even created one job in Mexico...He is a not a good president, which is typical in Mexico, only out to line his pockets.

I wonder what the jobs pay.
I once heard $1 an hour was minum wage in mexico, of couse not in big cities like t.j.
- In t.j the door guy gets, $2 bucks for everyone he brings up the stairs.

when I work for Dana a truck Assembly plant here in Columbus,most of our part was made in Mexico,they pay them about 1 dollar an hour their were so poor thy would steal the Wood box our part came in a build hut with them

I know that a bunch of industries went south of the border just after NAFTA was implemented--I gather that they pay Mexican regulated wages (not sure how that compares to wages they get here).
