BEEF TERIYAKI

2 lb flank steak (about 2 large steaks)
1 cup dry white wine
1/2 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons onion, minced
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tablespoon lemon juice, freshly squeezed
2 tablespoons honey
10.5 oz can beef broth, or:
1 cup homemade beef broth
1 teaspoon ginger root, grated

Slice steaks diagonally across the grain into 1/2 x 1-inch strips and place in a shallow pan or large bowl. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over meat. Let marinate 1 to 2 hours, turning 3 or 4 times. Thread strips on skewers and grill until meat reaches desired degree of doneness. Yield: 12 servings

Ingredients for either Beef or Chicken:

1/2 c Soy sauce 1 Clove garlic; minced
1/2 c Sugar 3/4 ts Ground ginger
1 1/2 tb Red wine vinegar 1 lb Chicken breast or beef
2 ts Vegetable oil or sesame oil 1 c Regular uncooked rice

Instructions
Mix soy sauce, sugar, vinegar, oil, garlic and ginger to make marinade. Freeze meat in marinade in 1 gallon freezer bag. When preparing to serve, thaw meat. Pour chicken or beef and marinade into a baking dish. Bake in preheated oven 350, for 35 minutes. Prepare rice. Serve over rice. NOTE: Same as above. Origianlly a once a month cooking recipe. To prepare same day, just marinate in fridge for several hours. We prefer the beef, but both are very good.
