It depends on the camera, but you can expect it to last for an afternoon's worth of intensive shooting, vs. a full day if you only use the viewfinder.

I've shot with both a canon and a nikon SLR for four hours of contstant shooting or longer on one lithium battery (the kind that comes with the camera, not the disposable kind). In my point n shoot digital (Canon A80), which I don't use as much, the thing lasts for months.

it really depends on the size and brightness of the screen. If there is a way to dim the screen, that would save power

no more than 12 hours...sometime it can last u just 1 hour
