Ok, here is the deal, my parents want me OUT immediately. I am 18 and I do not have a job but I know that I can get one and save up some money. Thankfully, they are giving me some time before im tossed out on my gluteous maximus. Honestly, I really just need to know an estimate for each month. Keep in mind that I am not too picky either so when it comes to looking for a place, I really just need a one bedroom apartment, utilities included, cable-ready, and some Wheat Thins, lol!! And does anyone know about Grants for college students, Federal Assistance, and etc??? Whatever!! Just tell me what you know, think, and feel!!

I learned that unless u have a roommate, money will go fast, and you'll be up a creek. I am 41 and have been out of the house, back then out now back. I don't waste money.
Save as much as you can, get a roomate, hope they pay their share OR get a room in a house. It will be tough.

Search the classifieds in your area for the amount of rent on effieciancy apartments. When you get ready to move you should have enough for the first month and deposit plus another months tucked away just in case also a few hundred for food. If you have an auto you will need to find out what your insurance is and set that aside as well as money for emergency things like tires or a broken belt. As for college that might be your best route you can apply for complete finacial aide at the schools finacial aide office and IF they have dormitories get enough grants and loans to live there and then you are covered.

Depending on where you live you'll probably need a good $3000. You have to pay security deposit which is usually a month's rent. You have to pay deposits to get your utilities turned on. You have to get a moving truck and they cost a whole freakin lot it's ridiculous. You can search online for federal aid and they will send you a pin number in the mail and you go from there. Good Luck!

To start off, you will need to save up enough for first and last months rent. you can usually find a studio for around 550-675 a month. If you are looking for student loans and grants, why not consider moving into the dorms, it is usually cheaper and studnet loans will take care of it. If thats not your cup of tea, you can always take out extra money in your student loans to help pay for personal expenses (rent, food, clothing, etc). Go to your college's student loan office, they will have all the information you need. good luck!

Check out what apartments cost in your town. Probably most won't include utilities other than water. Budget about 2-300 a month for food, and don't forget gas and car payments.

Depending on where you live, look in your local news paper in the apartment listings, you should have a min, of 1st, last and a deposit for your apartment, so if your apartment is $500.00 and they usually want 1st, last & dep of min. equal to the rent so right there that is $1500.00 + car or transportaion expensise, food, $30 to $50.00 per week, this is all min. But it should give you a guees-ta ment.

You will need at least one months rent + bond. You will also need approx $1,000 for bill's & things. Plus money for furniture if you decide to go unfurnished. Even if you decide to get a roomate you should keep the months rent etc in case they bail.
