i never knew my real father i knew his name and i knew that he has 26 kids plus he is cherrokee indian and i got in touch with him and i am flying out thre to meet him i am really scard and nervous what should i do

first off he is not your "father". he is simply a sperm donor. he did not raise you, etc. if there is a stepfather in your life he is your real father, he is the one who deserves to be called daddy. please dont forget that. the person you are going to meet has a biological connection with you but he may have never made an emotional commitment to you. think about it. that should help you overcome your anxiety.

I think that you should represent you and be yourself for one and just think of him as someone that (like you want to get to know). Yes he is you father but you do not know him. Write down all of the thinkgs that you want to know about him, and let him know everything about you. Listen to his story on what happen do not be judgemental and let him know your feelings and go from their.
