I beleive you all have it wrong here. The real answer to this question is many who have cell phones feel that they have to show off or they have to impress someone.Cell phones are more wider available now days but a couple years ago,it showed that you had money or had something that very few others had.People still like to talk on the phone while driving thinking that others will see them and think wow,he/she has her own cell phone.People think they are big shots and they think they are cool by talking on the phone and driving down the road.It is not as bad now but the teens that have just gotten their drivers license are still pretty bad about doing this to show off in front of their friends.

I know how ya feel people just think there smart enough to do two things at once and some can. It's the idiots on phones that cause accidents that don't realize that. Texas is considering passing a law if your in an accident and on the phone will be classified as fellony endangerment.

Cell phones on the road should be against the law!! They are unsafe distractions and people need to grow up... they can live without talking to someone for 30 min while they driving and if they cant then they should pull over

hands free is just as bad as talking on a regular cell phone .... its not the one handed driving or having to look down to see the numbers and everything ..... its the predisposition of the phone call itself that takes peoples minds off the road

yes hands free is a better idea but it can also be just as dangerous as the phone call itself

I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN. I GUESS PEOPLE THINK THEY CAN DRIVE AND TALK ON THE PHONE AT THE SAME TIME. PERSONALLY, IF MY PHONE RINGS, I DO ONE OF TWO THINGS: EITHER PULL OVER AND TALK OR LET IT RING THROUGH. SOME PEOPLE CAN'T DRIVE WORTH A PLUG NICKEL WITHOUT TALKING ON THE PHONE. I JUST HOPE NO ONE WAS INJURED AND THEY HAVE GOOD INSURANCE. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. THEY SHOULD OUTLAW THE TALKING ON PHONES WHILE DRIVING.
