In the United States, Everclear is a brand of grain alcohol (ethanol), available at concentrations of 95% alcohol (190 proof) and 75.5% (151 proof) [1]. By contrast, hard liquors such as rum and vodka generally contain 40% alcohol (80 proof). Everclear is manufactured by Luxco (formerly the David Sherman Corporation) [2].
It is illegal to purchase the 190 proof version in many U.S. states such as Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Washington, California, Michigan, Ohio, Florida, Virginia and West Virginia (as of November 2005). Due to Everclear's lack of sugar and impurities (congeners), it may make drinkers less vulnerable to hangovers. However, the lack of a strong flavor tends to promote overconsumption. Everclear is usually mixed into an alcoholic beverage, and is highly flammable.

Everclear. Everclear is 95% alcohol I believe. I never did Everclear, the brand itself. I did a rip off of Everclear. I thought whiskey brought out the demons in me. Holy ****! Both 151 and Everclear are the kinds of things that send people to the hospital with alcohol poisoning and/or eventually death. You gotta be careful w/ that stuff. Unless you're a major heavy weight w/ a huge alcohol tolerance, you'll probably feel a buzz after one or two shots. Some people feel a buzz after just one. Personally, I never measured. I just poured some of this rip off stuff into a glass and then some Oberweis fruit punch, enough that I wouldn't taste the alcohol. I made maybe one or two more trips back to the glass and I almost hit my dad in the face I was so ****** up. I would just say stick to 151.

Everclear and Grain Alcohol and a ton more. Ask your local college student. However, liquor laws change from state to state, and 151 might be the highest in your state. In NJ you can get Everclear which is like 180 or 190 (and gross).

Pure grain alcoholic beverages are normally distilled at over 90% ABV.
You can also get absinthe and Irish poteen at 90%.
Good Luck.
