This web site isn't for meeting people. It's for asking and answering questions.

Being a bit paranoid could save your life...you are smart to be cautious about meeting people off the 'net.

Never reveal personal information about yourself: real name, where you live, where you work, where you go to school.

In general, avoid meeting anyone in person. If you ever do, only do it in a VERY public place, be with a GROUP of people, and even then DON'T reveal any personal information.

The internet can be a good way to make virtual friends, and you can use it to find out about social activities in your area which you can attend, but using it as a direct way to meet people face to face isn't very safe.

This isn't meant to be a way to meet people. It's a way to get information and a form of entertainment.

No, you are not being paranoid. Don't give out any personal info over the net. You don't know who you are communicating with.

no you aren't. I am paraniod, you are just safe. Paraniod is thinking crazy like me being raised in the church and knowing God watches everything you do and now in this day and age of video surviellance everyone is being watched Ihave a serious Big Brother complex. I think I am being watched every minute of every day no matter where I am. It really makes it hard when you jerk off too! Seriously you are not paraniod!

That is being very smart. You cant trust anyone on the net. Its OK to make friends here but be careful what info you give them. If a person sounds to good to be true then pass them up. You will find alot on here aren't very truthful with what they tell you

Yeah you definitly smart, but this website isn't really about meeting people, it's for answering questions. I've had better luck meeting people on MySpace. Oh, and I wouldn't recommend meeting people if your under 18 anyways.

Be careful, youre right!!!!

There are some sick people on here who are obsessed with young (kids) and so you have to be super careful about that.

Also, try volunteering somewhere like an animal shelter where there are trustworthy adults nearby. You can make friends easily that way.

No place is safe, remember that and if you want to meet someone then tell them you want to meet at a restaurant or store meet me outside wearing something bright red or yellow, so you can notice them first to evaluate them b-4 u meet. I tell you be very careful. How about long conversations get them to tell you as much about themselves as possible. Dig Dig Dig.

That's not paranoid at all; you are being cautious for good reason.

There are weirdos out there.... BUT there are also kind, "normal" people, too... sometimes it is tough to tell them apart on the Net (ie people pretending to be somebody that they aren't).

"Better safe than sorry", right?

Cheers :)
