Think peace. Our thoughts govern our actions and if we all thought peace, there would be no war.

Know that there are National Guard in Iraq. Talk to all the recruiters and go with the one that you feel most comfortable with. The ASFAB will help you decide on your career. I've known many their choices were limited because of not scoring high enough for the Air Force or Navy. You have time, make an informed decision. It's a true and real commitment. Best of luck to you.

Right now the guard is having problems, too. See Link.

As to your question, what is your gut telling you? Deep down inside you, what is it that you are looking for permission to do? If you think you should join the guard, then do so. If you really want to be told to flee the country and hide, then do that. No one cam live you life for you, and no one can face yourself in the mirror in the morning other then you. You live with you you are and what you do, or do not do.

sure , join the guard. they can get you killed just as fast as the regular military. the need for war isn't what is going on, it's the money being made by others that this war is all about.

If that is what you feel. Wars bother everyone. I'm sure nobody likes the idea of armed conflict. But, sometimes it is necessary to keep the freedom we have. Good luck and I'm sure you'll make the right decision for you.

One person can make a HUGE difference in winning a war, saving a life or even voting for a leader......I used to be in the Navy, back in the Gulf War...and I, actually saved a shipmates life, from removing him from a fire starting in our main engine room.......If I hadn't been there, at that moment.....God only knows what could have happened to Donnie(my boss...hehe)

Okay. Your thinking is off. If the wars "bother" you, why would you want to join in? It only makes it worse.

I really don't know. My fiancee is in the National Guard. He's on his way to Mexico to patrol the border as we speak. I would make a career out of it if I did...
