First my right knee was a horrible pain that would hurt when i walked up or down stairs, i couldn't run, or do jumps (for cheerleading herkie, toetouch, etc.),dance, and it was hard 2 exercise.
It's been going on for awhile now.
In my gym class i had 2 wear a knee brace on it.
Now i can't really do my jumps or run, etc.
But its not a really bad pain its like a catch.
My mom says shes had the same thing all her life, but I really want 2 get rid of it.
Its driving me crazy.
What should I do about it?

It sounds like your very active and athletic and I had the same problem with my knees. What you should do is go to a doctor and explain everything and every symptom you can. Then dont wait for the doctor to come to this conclusion ASK THEM or TELL THEM you want to test to find out the wear and tear on your knee, ecpecially the CARTILIAGE which sometimes runs thin from being active or runs genetically in your family. It can cause constant pain, clicking in the leg, rubbing of your knee against bone. It can be fixed and it most likely is your problem. Thats what I would do everything is simple and none of it will keep you inactive or in pain for a long time. Good Luck.

Sounds very just like you have got water at the knee as a way to be gentle... RICE process. anti inflammatories PRN.. as and while 4hourly fine. Overuse of the knee from Martial Arts... REST.

Have the trainer at school look at it. If that doesn't work go to the Doc. Could be arthritis, or just inflammation from overuse. Either way it is not normal for you and you should have it checked out. Good luck!

If you are a teen and growing, it is growth problems. I had the same thing. your muscles and tendons are overstretching because you are growing so fast. Stretch before anything
