About an hour and a half before bedtime, I'd give her Tylenol so that it would "kick in" by bedtime. Then warm bath and massage. Then before bedtime, I gave her oatmeal with a tiny bit of cammomile tea in it. Totally safe, I promise. Just be sure it's weak and you mix is 50/50 with apple juice or something. Okay, next...I gave her Hyland's Teething Tablets and followed it with hyland's teething gel. (On really bad days, I'd use Baby Anbesol but I don't like to use that stuff) This really worked for us. I know it sounds like alot but the ritual calmed her down and the homeopathic medicines really took the edge off. She slept 12 hours nearly every night. Best of luck!

Hylands teething tablets work miracles! The numbing gels dont last because of the slobbing the child is doing. Frozen things work temporarly, but its messy. Alcohol is just not safe and medicating your child for no reason but to put her to sleep isnt good either. Try the tablets. I cant tell you how many friends have called to thank me for buying them some.

Hyland's Homeopathic Teething Tablets. My son's doctor said they were fine to give him. I would give my son a bath and 3 of those pills and he would go to sleep at night. During the day is tricker - I rotated different tactics- infant tylenol (but don't give too much for too long it hurts their liver), wet rags, frozen rags, crushed ice in a zip lock with a hair tie keeping it all in one corner (his favorite), teething rings, and Rite Aid and Vons have this teething massager (it vibrates).

put a wet washcloth in the fridge and let her chew on it for awhile. Some babies are just cranky and have a hard time dealing with teething, mine did, and there is NO way to help them until they get through it. Sorry, I know this IS NOT what you wanted to hear, but it happens. Good Luck!

Our Dr. last week said put teething toys in fridge along with a moist washcloth. Let her chew on these. At one of the daycare that we looked at they used the little rubber round soap holder (the ones with the little suction cups) They like the sensation and they can be cleaned in the dishwasher.

Lovely age..i wish my boys were that young again, kinda missed it already now that they've grown :)
Why not try to distract her attention when she's on her waking hours by giving her something to bite on like fingerfoods such as carrots, cucumber, raddish, apples, pears, brocolli and the likes ,it's healthy,hassle-free, cheap and it's easy to prepare.Reading you, I can already imagine you went into extremes just to relieve her pains and tantrums but just hang on there it's just a stage she'll outgrow one day. You're a good mom so don't worry.
Take some time off too to recharge your batts---that way you'd savor parenting :)

If you've tried Orajel, teething tablets ( homeopathic remedy) tylenol for the pain, freezies to numb it, frozen teething rings, a clean wash cloth dipped in apple juice and frozen.. and nothing is working.. then nothing is going to work..

When my daughter was teething I used to just dip a q-tip in some jack Daniels.....and rub in on her gums, my mother did this for me and so on and so forth. It helps sooth and numb and does not hurt them. Your not giving them the whole bottle just a little.

I took a couple of pacifiers and put water in the tips and froze them. They work wonders for my son who is teething right now.
