However, I already have a 2 year old, half siamese male. Would it be better to get a male or female kitten?

I have owned Siamese for many many years. The males always seem to take to a new addition much better then a female will. male siamese are much much more affectionate then the females. I have 2 males and 2 females right now Siamese. Is you male fixed? If not he should be. With any new kitten added to your home it takes time. Don't just bring a new kitten into the house and expect your resident cat to be fine. They won't be at first. keep the new one in a room alone with food waterand litter box. for a few days visiting often. Shut your oldercat in a room also for a short time and let the new one out to explore. That way they also will pick up each others scent. Some claim putting a dab of vanilla on each cat will help as they will both have that scent.. Blankets that each sleep on let them each smell to get used to each others scent. Slowy introduce them and soon they will best buddies.

I have a part Siamese kitten ready for adoption in the Seattle area. Sweet as can be. He is a male, either sex works. Either he will get along with other cats or not is the issue.

If the cat is neutered, it should get along with either sex. I have 4 Siamese boys. I prefer the boys, they seem more loving than the girls. I had a female and she was way more of a loner. The boys are a little stand-offish with a kitten at first, but then they are best friends!!!!!!
I have never had any big problems introducing them to newbies!!!

female! trust me, they get along much better if they're both the opposite sex. I have a 2 year old female cat and almost three weeks ago I adopted a 5 month old male kitten from the SPCA. they get along fine. except my kitten bugs her from time to time but other than that she ignores him and vis versa. I think it really depends on the cats personality, but just to be on the safe side I would get a female. oh, and get her spayed when she turns 6 months old please.

I do not know if you want to buy one or get one free.. To buy one.. contact the pet section of the local newspaper.. that is the best way.. If yo want to get one free. contact the pet section of the local newspaper and see if one is giving away siamese kittens OR.. go to your local vet office and they often times have pictures of kittens/dogs that people want to sell or give away.
