Just simply give him hints and if he doesn't get it, then try to bring it up jokingly.
This indirect way will not make you look desperate.
But, just say it, don't be scared.

I would say if you are going to get nervous and chicken out, then definitely do a text message or an e-mail or something. Or you can go old school with the note: do you like me? yes no or maybe. Always include the maybe.

DONT TELL HIM!!!!!!!! Let him approach you!.... The reason you're thinking about telling him you have a crush on him...is because you are IMPATIENT.
Just give him more signs that you like him: ...eye contact, more efforts at conversation, saying hello all the time....etc.
See what his reaction is....but still, make sure HE is the one to approach you.

Closed mouths don't get feed, he can only say no or yes to what you ask. But if you never ask I guess you would wonder forever. Can you loan me $100? If you say yes then send it, if you say no, oh well. See how easy that was. Now all we have to do is wait for the answers.

um... what i like to do is strik up a conversation. say somthing like hey do you know what the homework assingment was. then like accidently drop your books. if he helps you pic them up say thanks, and then mabey ask if hew would ever go out with you.... or when you drop your books and he picks them up mabey do a little flirting. and try and get him to like you and ask you out.
1) don't seem too needy. guys hate that
2) seem avalibale but not desperate
3) give him a compliment and them leave. make him think it was his idea
4) don't be shy be confident and stut like you don't need a guy.
