when the bible was forged, everyone knew, or talked to god. why is it this doesnt happen anymore? (george bush is excluded from this one)

By the time of Samuel people started having a lot less talks with God:
1Sa 3:1 Now the young man Samuel was ministering to the LORD under Eli. And the word of the LORD was rare in those days; there was no frequent vision.
However why do you assume God does not talk to us? Do you know for sure?

God spoke to man in the Old testament, before Jesus came to the earth to be God, in human form. When Jesus fulfilled His purpose on the earth, He sent the Holy Spirit in the earth to dwell in the hearts of every believer. So no, God doesn't physically speak to you where you can hear Him with your natural ear, no, but God does speak to us, through people, through things, through His word. If you're filled with the Spirit, you'll feel something inside you telling you that you shouldn't to this, or that's not good for you, or that place can harm you, don't go there. That's how God speaks to us today. God Bless!

Are you on crack. God only talked audibly to a select few. They spoke for God to the rest of the people. And if someone said that God talked to them now, we would all think they were nuts. God gave us a book, he said all he needs to say to us. If you want to hear from Him, you read His book. He will speak to you that way. He told me so.

Who says God doesn't talk to people anymore? The reason they can't hear Him is either because they don't really know Him (He only talks to His children) and/or because they're not being quiet enough to hear Him whisper. I thank God He talks to me.
