I had my last period on June 21, I began cramping around the 19th of July but never started my period, my husband and I had unprotected sex on the 18th of July (but we didn't think anything of it after trying to concieve for 1 year and not having any luck). Anyway, I have taken 3 home tests and they all were neg. Yesturday I went pee and had bright red blood on my t.p. and it happened once today. Could that be implantation bleeding? I am not sure what's going on. How long now should I wait to take another test? I have occassional cramps but no real cramps like I normally have. Thanks for helping...slk

Your ovulation period usually comes at your mid-cycle.The gross calculation of your ovulation period fell on July 6 and you 're most likely to get pregnant if you had sex at least five days before that and 24 hours thereafter.Anyway there are factors which could alter it sometimes so if you are in doubt of pregnancy here is some information. Implantation takes place about 6-12 days post ovulation (fertilization). You can get a positive result on the 7th day post ovulation as the earliest, but better result can be obtained within 10-12 days after ovulation but significant percentage of women who are indeed pregnant will still show a negative result.Your hCG levels should double every 2-3 days and many women won't have a positive HPT until the first day of a missed period or even a few days later. It could be implantation bleeding and I suggest you do your test with midstream early morning urine for a better result following the instructions carefully. You may prefer to do blood test wchich is more accurate.

Implantation bleeding can be one of the earliest pregnancy symptoms. About 6-12 days after conception, the embryo implants itself into the uterine wall. Some women will experience spotting as well as some cramping.

I would wait until 3 days before your period

Implantation usually takes place approximately 6 or 7 days after conception. Most early pregnancy test are positive within two weeks of conception. Look up the rhythm method for figuring out what was the last possible day of conceiving during your cycle. I don't think according to the rhythm method that you could have gotten pregnant from having sex 27 days after your last period. However, yes there can be spotting during implantation. I'm Pregnant magazine sold at Barnes and Nobles talks about spotting during implantation. For information on the rhythm method you could read a Human Intimacy book at your local library. I know of someone who bled the day before a pregnancy test came out positive. If you really want to get pregnant, I suggest starting intercourse shortly after your period around the 9th or 10th day after you started your period baded on a 28 day cycle and having sex every day until the 15 day of your cycle. Most people get pregnant during the middle of their cycles.

You should be able to get an accurate result around 2-4 days after implantation bleeding.
