Clean yourself tenderly. Your responsibility to your hemorrhoids shouldn't end when you're through moving your bowels, It's extremely important to clean your self properly and gently. Toilet paper can be scratchy, and some types contain chemical irritants. Purchase only nonperfumed noncolored (white) toilet paper, and damp it under the faucet before each wipe

Have had them for 50 years.
So, first of all keep yourself clean.
I only go once a day (in the morning), and after my business use wetted toilet paper to clean the canal with my index finger.
Then in the shower, I do it again with soap and water. Making sure that nothing protrudes AND that it is clean.
On bad days, I'll use Vaseline to grease things down there so I don't get sore when walking.
If things get really bad, you may need a hemorrhoidectomy.
I held off with that for years, because my dad had it done and was not happy with the results.
Had it done finally and it was much better, but you still have to be careful, otherwise it gets worse and worse again..
Hope this helps at least some....

This sounds odd, but the Nurse Practitioner where I work said this. When I was pregnant, 8 months, the baby pushed the hemorroids out. This really worked. Place ice in a plastic bag and place on your hemorrhoids. I promise, it works!
