All He asks of you is to believe and accept Him. Get out of the old testament and learn the teachings of Christ.

God is a concept. So is heaven and hell, invented by those in power to frighten others into following their lead.

The idea that a human being can understand the god-concept or "know" what it wants is called magical thinking. Personally, I don't "believe" anything. I either "know" or don't know.

I don't KNOW if there is a God. I have never seen proof or evidence. Many people believe in God. It helps them deal with the difficulties in their lives.

When I have problems, I turn to other people who have gone through similar situations to see what worked for them to resolve the dilemma. Then I decide which option will work for me.

I have yet to REALLY see God intervene in anyone's life, even if they believe it. This is a physical world and we are bound by the laws of physics. Therefore, bad things DO happen to good people. Look at the 2004 Tsunami, for instance. GOD didn't kill 270,000 people. A big landslide on the ocean floor occured due to the laws of gravity. That created the wave.

As for the bible? It was written by men. Changed and altered during the middle ages (there are many examples), and can be interpretted in many ways. Much of it was never meant to be taken literally. The writers used phrases that were common in those days and that would not anger the Romans. It was "politically correct."

Today, however, only scholars who've studied ancient languages and the customs of those time periods understand the true meaning of the words written down as "God's word."

You know the story about being without sin and throwing the first stone? It is not in any original copy in Greek that currently exists. It doesn't show up until the middle ages.
Therefore, Jesus never said it! So "WHO" is writing "God's word?"

How odd. The spell checker is telling me to check my spelling before submitting it to the spell checker. Huh? Must be a demon. One of the devil's minions causing problems. Or could it just be a computer error?

Actually, Christianity 2.0 (aka the New Testement) says only "Love one another." In fact, even if a person as bad as Hitler were to truly repent, and mean it (not for the benefit of going to Heaven but instead because he was truly sorry), then he would eventually reach Heaven.

At least, that's the basic idea as the Catholic Church sees it. Some other Christians might feel otherwise.

In fact, some believe that you needn't even be a Christian, only a good person.

""If God is so damn tolerant,""

If The GOD was not very very tolerant HE would have WIPED OUT this stinkin' mess we made of HIS perfect world.

"" why will he send you to Hell if you dont do every little stupid thing he says?""

Who told you thaty you have to do everything that HE says or said?? THATS PLAIN WRONG WRONG WRONG.

Salvation depends on Accepting Jusus as THE GOD. THATS ALL.

1. Adam messed-up his Spirit.
2. Adam passed this messed-up Spirit to everybody else.
3. If you leave the EARTH for GOOD with a messed-up Spirit, you can't go to HEAVEN. GOD's Power would burn you up and you would cease to exist if GOD didn't protect you.
4. You have to get your Spirit RECREATED (Born-Again), to be able to go to HEAVEN and ENJOY it.
5. HELL was made for the fallen Angel's, not Mankind.
6. If you don't get Born-Again by Accepting JESUS as your SAVIOUR (the ONLY ONE WHO can RECREATE Your Spirit), GOD keep's you in HELL (not to Punish you, but as a storage place), till the End.

Well that's where you are wrong. God is not tolerant. He just gives us free-will. Also, he does not send people to Hell, they send themselves to Hell by not obeying His Word. The wages of sin is death, unless you repent and turn away from your sins. There is none righteous, but those who believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for their sins shall have eternal life.

Who said God is tolerant? God does not tolerate sin and mockery.

Further, your questions are not based on a legitimate understanding of Christianity. It is clear that you don't understand what a Christian is and your questions (and answers that I've seen) are based on your OPINIONS and not facts. I would be happy to discuss this with you.

God never send any one to hell, It is the unbeliever who choose to go to hell.
Unlike others, Jesus never give set of rules (do's/dont's) to reach heaven. All He want is a simple belief in Him not your actions.

Because we were given free will and thus an imperfect society. It all goes back to Adam and Eve being tempted by the devil. We are now given our own free will to choose what we feel is right from wrong.
