arraged marriage means = parents pick your marriage life!! bull
ok my parents say that i cant date because im indian and in india "mostly" everyone got arraged marriages when the were around and they were the ones who didn't get arranged marriaged!! and we moved to the US 4 years ago and my mom doesn't even let me talk to girls on the phone!! this is bull i tell them its not right but they keep saying study and gete a good job then we'll talk!! is that even fair!!? what should i do?

What you have is a cultural conflict.
Where your parents grew up, an arranged marriage is normal. Where you grew up, it isn't.
You sound quite young to me; this only makes the conflict worse, because you have probably been where marriages are NOT arranged all your life.
Maybe the best route is to not worry about your eventual marriage, but, for now, concentrate on your studies.
Remember: at least in the U.S., no one can be compelled to marry anyone else.

I don't think you have much to worry about right now since you are so young. The last time I checked you had to be 18 to get married here in the States.
I think I would have to question my parents on what their motives were in moving here to begin with. " Arranged marriages " are NOT a part of our society.
I do agree with your Mom as far as studying goes though. But by the time you are able to get that "good job" she was referring to, you will be old enough to make up your own mind.
Don't sweat the small stuff right now.
( Even though I personally believe that a 16 year old boy should be able to talk to girls )

ok, if this were me, i would talk to girls anyway. If u r over 18 u can't live by your parents rules anymore, go out, have fun, enjoy life, stop being bottled up in your parents little fantasy world. Anyways, u r not in India anymore, this is the US, we have different rules over here...its a little thing called FREEEDOM! So if ur parents dont like it, they are just going to have to deal with it.

I suggest you study & become a US citizen. That way, no one can force you to marry anyone, or move you back to India to marry someone.
Just be young and enjoy it.

u don't say how old u are. anyway, i'd worry about getting an education first. trust me , those girls will still be there. when u can support urself, ur parents will listen to u more.
