Yellow American cheese?

I think they prefer chicken cheese and they dont go in for substitutes

Maybe not yellow American, but they might like white American cheese!

They love it, but it's not good for them. First of all, most packaged American Cheese is not real cheese. It's loaded in chemicals, oils and artificial colors. Secondly, most cats are lactose intolerant. Lactose is the natural sugar found in milk and most cats (and many people) cannot digest it. Diarreah and gastric pain is the result. So do not feed your cat cheese. They'd rather have a piece of cooked chicken anyway!

My siamese does. I don't let her have much. She gets some cheese maybe once every 3 to 6 months.

Most of the time, they do since cheese is a derivitive of milk..which obviously cats like...

I have two cats: one does, one doesn't.
It is not bad for them or anything. Cheese is often a flavor used in cat food.
