Every time I open up my windows media player it just shuts down for some reason anybody know why?

Possibly a corrupt file but if you go to www.microsoft.com you can download the new media player 11 its far more user friendly.

Just get WMP 11

What version...you might try WMP 11 Beta...Also, you might try re-installing it to restore all the program files.
