too soft genitals, is that a possibility?

First of all baby powder doesnt really make it soft. It makes it dry. Just dont use too much and no it doesn't matter how long you use it because nothing bad will happen except you may have dry skin down there. In addition if you are a woman studies have shown that TALC (which is in baby powder, have to buy cornstarch only powder to avoid talc) may cause ovarian cancer.

If it's good enough to use on a baby everyday, I don;t see how it could possibly hurt anything.
