If you get popped, you'll do the rest of your sentence, 2 years. Although you could get good behavior time off or earrly parole.

What kind of idiot risks prison to get high???

Addiction is a disease, giving into it is a weakness.

First, a lot depends on what state you live in. I am an atty in TN and here are the questions I would ask you if you came into my office with this problem....Is this your first violation? Did you pick up any new charges or is the dirty screen the only basis of the violation? What kind of sentence is it? By that I mean is it a 3 year sentence at 30% (meaning release eligibility after you serve 30% of 3 years)? Or is it 3 years at 100% (meaning no possibility for parole)? Were you dirty for cocaine or marijuana? Or another drug? Can you enroll yourself in an outpatient drug program before your court date? (it would look very good to the DA and the judge if you did) I would ask things like that. Good luck. PS...if you were in Tennessee I would charge $750 for the probation violation. Prices vary among attorneys and states though. Also, I just read the responses before mine and they are, for the most part, completely ignorant of the law so ignore them!

Well I know a guy who has 12 pending felonies and a conviction and he got 3 days, but then he has to go back to rehab.

Idiots don't risk it, ADDICTS do, there is a big difference, addiction is a disease.

For you idiots out there...UA means Urinary Analysis. In other words, she took a pee test and it was positive for drugs or alcohol. Way to go. You should know better than that.

im not sure what the law says but if youve been to prison and they let you out. i say you should go back forever because you should have learned you lesson to stay out of trouble and not break the law dumba$$. using illegal drugs is a minor crime. but still bereaking the law and if you got a chance to make things right and you still behaved like a child you deserve to rot in prison till the drugs you used arent even around anymore.

WTF is a dirty UA?

Oh I see-a Urine Analysis. Well, you chose to use drugs knowing you'd be tested. I guess that means your new fashion statement will be an orange jump suit. I hope you like big fat greasy women feeling you up. I hope catching a buzz was worth it.

More than likely they will take you off of paper and activate your original sentence and that is the time you will do. Your paroled sentence will be activated and any new charges will also be added to it.
